Koala on Duty: The Devil 마왕

I just finish watching the drama few minutes ago. 20 episodes and it took me two weeks to finish. I never had to take two weeks to finish a drama before. But since the genre needs extra concentration, it took me some time to digest it all.

The Devil 마왕 (魔王) / Mawang (Satan / Lucifier / Devil Times)

I still like it though it’s not my regular genre. Different camera angle style and bring different kind of aura. But there are some things I noticed throughout the drama. I'll make a list so you can know what they are. But if you're looking for drama synopsis, you won't find it here. Regular reader would know that I seldom write synopsis for anything.

Okay, here goes:

The way they open the parcel received from the anonymous sender. Everyone who received it will tear the Scotch tape from left to right using the right hand.
The way they see what's inside the envelope. Everyone who received it will turn the envelope with the left hand and took out the content using the right hand.
The way they make a tight fist grip. Every time someone said something that the listener does not like to hear or does not agree upon, they'll make a tight fist grip and the camera always focus on that.

Overall, like I said, I still like it even though the drama does not fall into my favorite genre. I always like varieties. (^_^) Surprisingly though, I almost teared up twice. First, when Detective Kang Oh Soo cried when his father died and second, when defense attorney Oh Seung Ha cried when Kang Oh Soo died. Oppss... Did I just made a spoiler? I guessed I should have mentioned a spoiler alert. Oh well...

One more thing I like is the outfits of Seo Hae In. Always color coordinated, just in one color and no patterns except for some stripes at times and always below the butt. But her outfit became shorter towards the end of the drama though.

And I like her eye make-up. Simple! Always wondered how she does it. I never seem to achieve the same effect when I tried. Shin Min Ah (Seo Hae In) also had a similar eye make-up in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.

Shin Min Ah (신민아) also stars in the drama My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (내 여자친구는 구미호) as the Gumiho.
Kim Gyu Chul (김규철) who played Cha Gwang Doo (the lawyer, former detective) also stars in the drama Bad family (불량가족) as Ha In Soo a.k.a. Mr Toad.
