Keeping score? (Before continue reading, please keep in mind that I have NO intentions on boasting what so ever)

This is a note taken from my Facebook page concerning my Facebook status on Jan 20. You can read that Facebook status in this entry.

Today, my nightmare came true. Remember I mention my school having a new substitute teacher? Comparing her and me seems to be unavoidable. (T_T) somebody help me please!

It turns out she has a lot to offer despite of her age. Only 27 and knows how to bake all kind of cakes, and has many work experiences. Kek Batik Sarawak, pudding caramel, etc. Work experience in Kuala Terengganu and experience as a substitute in Sek Keb Kerandang and MRSM. CC kept praising her of being friendly, educated and all.

And as you might also remember from my status, she’s single but not available. My CC asked when she’ll be inviting us to the wedding, she replied not that soon. The man in question is a local man who works in Johor, I heard, but not interested.

She came in the office today because she had something to print in color for the class she’s currently taking over. Writing famous quotes on A4 papers to be laminated and stick on the wall. Eleven quotes in total; I noticed one that said “Room is not build in one day”.  ∑(O_O;)Shocked!! … What to do? What to do? What do you think I did? The kiasu side of me blurted out the mistake without even thinking! At this time, CC was asking her about her experience in MRSM as a substitute English teacher.  Evil grin!( ̄ー ̄)ニヤリ

CC showed interest, she inquire what was actually wrong about the quote. Both she and I explain from our own understandings. In the end, she said “I’ll ask my father about it.” … I know, I’m bad right? Really bad! It was not like I never made a mistake before, but to be better in something secretly gave me some satisfaction.

The moment I’ve been waiting for finally came when CC said I’m also good in English. Then, came more compliments from other colleagues. Suddenly PK1 walk by and praises me too! Ngeee… ~(^__^) at this point, in direct translations, I was blooming! Yup, I know, I seemed cocky at this point. Better yet, not seemed, but AM cocky! And I also know I should repent immediately. But could you not at least give me this one? She won the previous rounds already. (ToT)

So far, she’s: 1. better looking, 2. better personality, 3. can bake (talented), 4. More work experiences, 5. Single but not available. Five points for her there. As for me: … 1. I merely and selfishly pointed out her small mistake. ½ point for me here, couldn’t even count it as one point.

Keeping score? From now on, we refer her as D. The verdict so far, D 5 : me ½.
