Seven movies in one day

1.   Alice In Wonderland
2.   Despicable Me
3.   How To Train Your Dragon
4.   Sherlock Holmes
5.   The Last Airbender
6.   The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
7.   Toy Story 3

Seven movies in one day! That’s a record! \(^o^)/ *wa--i!~  (^^)//
That’s how I spent my weekend. Not really satisfied though. I was really disappointed with The Last Aibender. For starters, the maker decided to cramp the whole ‘Book One: Water’ in one movie. If you’re going to do that, at least make it a 3 hour movie.

Then they decided to cast actors that somehow seem to be missing something that lead to inexperience acting. Uncle Iroh was okay though, but still Shaun Toub didn’t really get the character as a whole. He forgot the squints and little gestures that Uncle Iroh does at times in the original animated version. And don’t get me started on Jackson Rathbone who does not get Sokka’s humor at all. That may have been the scriptwriter’s fault though. But, when it’s time for Sokka to be funny, he WASN’T at all! And who the hell decided to change the pronunciation of Aang to Ang?!?! (._.?)

Ruined! All ruined! Special effect is just so and so, but they could have done better. Soundtrack and music score, FAIL! As a fan or the original animated version, I am really disappointed at the movie. Maybe to me, to someone who already watched the animated version and a fan might have a higher expectation for the movie.

Alice in Wonderland was so much better. Better music score, better special effect, and maybe better storyline. It takes the viewer along to every step in the movie. How To Train Your Dragon was okay too. Though I might not say the same if I’ve had read the book version first. And the music score for Sherlock Holmes somehow reminded me of Dexter’s opening music.
