I’m currently on my second step of ‘self cleansing’. First I cleanse myself from anger and hatred (internal detoxing-still working on it). Now I’m externally detoxing. How do I do that? Well, I simply choose what I eat or use on my body, what I wear, what I consume, what I take. To do that, I simply fallow the Halal rule. For most, Halal is just those that are obvious (swine, alcohol, etc.). But few took for granted the Masbuh.
Masbuh, from what I understand, things that their origin is not sure from Halal or non-Halal sources. I did some search of my own, so far, list of things that has these ingredients is considered Masbuh: Alanine, Enzyme, Fatty Acid, Glycerin (and its derivatives), Hormones, Hydrolysed Animal Protein, Pepsin, Phospholipid, Potassium Citrate, Renin / Rennet, Stearic Acid, and Whey. Unless it clearly state that they are Halal, I choose to not use them. Check your consumer products; some might have the ingredients I mentioned.
So now I’m looking for alternatives of the products I’m using. Skin care for women, now in Malaysia we have a few brands to choose from, Syurah (by Ginvera), Alaisyah (by Tohtonku) and Safi (by Unza). I don’t know if the local brand have Halal certificate or not. I had trouble trying to find a true Malaysian skincare product and with a Halal certificate of that matter. And I’m not sure if these products are true ‘Buatan Malaysia’: Tia Amelia, Natasya, Sandayu Tinggi, Sri Mawar, D’Wajah, D’Putih, Felisa, and the list go on. Some might be Buatan Malaysia, some might not, but at least, the probability of it being Halal is high.
But if you’re looking for products from other country, I just found out about this product from Japan that has just been launch in Malaysia last March, kawaii Tokyo. It was also featured in the CLEO magazine in June 2008. Its brightening series has Halal certificate, however the price range is quite expensive for me. Though for the product it, is okay I guess, considering it’s a 100% genuine Japan product. I'm not sure the exact price range, but I found this Singaporean blog that posted the price, and after i converted it to RM, I was like, Whoa! Well, not sure if the matter is true or not. still hasn't and reply form people i ask for help. I'll post an update if I ever found out okay?
